Marugoto A1-1 (Katsudoo & Rikai) Tutor Support Course
The Marugoto A1-1 (Katsudoo & Rikai) Tutor Support Course is a course to comprehensively learn about the Japanese language and culture.In this course, you can self-study online while a regularly having your assignments corrected and receiving live lessons by a tutor.
In the Katsudoo section of this course, you can gain practical communication skills for everyday situations by listening to a lot of Japanese as you practice speaking. Meanwhile, in the Rikai section, you can systematically learn how Japanese is used in communication. The objective is to gain a comprehensive Japanese ability that includes reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
There are three types of lessons offered in this course.
・6 live lessons
・1 oral test
・3 Katsudoo and 9 Rikai assignments corrected
This course has groups, too. Through the group noticeboard, you can study while communicating with friends that you learn with and tutors.
If you want to thoroughly study Japanese from scratch by yourself, while enhancing your practical skills with tutor support, this course is for you! You will meet other friends who study Japanese in the course group and live lessons, too!
■About the student selection process
This is a course where participating students are determined by a selection process. For those who wish to apply for the selection process, first carefully read the course outline in full. Then, within the designated application time period, please click the 'Course Registration' button and complete the application.
Note, results of the selection process are expected to be sent to the email address registered with 'Minato' on January 6（Fri.）18:00 approx. (Japanese Time).

You will manage your study progress, submit assignments, and take tests within the Marugoto Japanese Online Course site.

About Live Lesson
Live lessons are offered in fixed classes of one tutor for 6 students.
One lesson takes approximately 40 minutes. The initial live lesson will consist of course guidance, and thereafter one lesson will be conducted per topic.
The live lessons are based on conversations learned in the self-study materials and written assignments, so you will need to have completed the self-study for each topic before the live lesson.
Live lessons are scheduled by class. Please choose a class where you can take part in all six lessons, when you register for the course. Classes and live lessons dates may not be changed for any reason whatsoever.

The oral test is conducted one-on-one after all of the live lessons have been completed. The date will be decided by consultation with the tutor in charge after the course begins. It is usually about 30 minutes.
Live lessons and oral tests are conducted through Zoom <http://zoom.us/>. With Zoom, the lesson room can be accessed by opening an assigned URL, so there is no need to download a system or to open an account. However, the program will need to be installed for the first lesson.
The system requirements (necessary bandwidth) for the group video conference using Zoom are as follows.
Upload Speed 600kbps / Download Speed 1.2Mbps
For those who do not know the bandwidth of their internet connection, please use the following site to conduct a speed test. (This will transfer you to an external site.)

To take the live lessons and oral test, please have the following four items ready.

・Live lessons connect learners from around the world. Please do not be late. Please understand that there may be up to a 15-minute delay, depending on the connection.
・Be sure to use a computer that is connected to the internet. Do not participate with a smartphone, as information will be shared during live lessons.
Score of 60% or higher
The allocation of points is as follows.
・Study progress 50%
・Live lesson 20%
・Oral test 10%
・You can take the test if you go over 60% in both the study progress and submitted assignments of each lesson.
・You will not be given an attendance certificate if you do not attend any of the live lessons or you do not take the oral test.
Enrollment cannot be performed as it is outside the application period.
